‘cast-rite’ is a Registered Trade Mark Patent Pending
Your ‘cast - rite’ is a miniature fly casting practice aid that you can use at home at the office, anytime, anywhere. It is made up of three sections, a long cork handle, a shorter cork handle and a flexible section with it’s built in ‘click tip’. When joined together the sections make miniature practice rods all less than 34 inches long that have a similar weight, balance and feel to a corresponding full sized rod with the reel and line attached. The rubber protection cap, a length of elastic cord for practicing single and double haul and a set of custom designed waterproof ‘ coaching cards ’ that cover the basics of all for the most used casts both single and double handed. You can assemble your ‘ cast - rite ‘ rod in different ways to perform various functions and to match your own rod or the of fishing that you intend to do. Here are some of the ways to use your ‘ cast - rite ‘ to learn, practice and exercise and become a better caster.
* You can use each of the handle sections by themselves to get used to the weight and feel, to vary and perfect the grip and to exercise those seldom used casting muscles in the hand, wrist and arms and get casting fit.
* You can use both handles, one in each hand, let your other hand follow your dominant hand and learn to cast with both hands.
* You can put the two handles together to get the feel of a double handed rod and develop those extra muscles that are used in casting a big rod and, again, get casting fitbefore the next trip. Remember to reverse the hands and practice left and right handed.
* You can use the small handle and the flexible tip to copy a stream or small still water single handed fly rod. The ’click tip’ indicator in the flexible section will always tell you when you ‘ loaded the rod ‘ and have got the back ’stop’ and forward ‘tap’ just right.
* You can create a heavier single handed rod used for larger still waters, reservoirs, pike, sea fishing or sea trout and perhaps single handed salmon fishing by joining the longer handle to the flexible section with it’s ’click tip’ indicator.
* Use the elastic cord tied to the eye of the rubber protection cap on the end of the flexible section and use this with either of the handles to learn and practice those tricky single and double haul techniques. Start off slowly, get the action right, then speed up.
* You can screw the two handles and the flexible tip section together to create a double handed tuition, exercise and practice rod.
* You can practice with either hand uppermost and develop your left and right handed casts. Reverse the handles to vary the balance
* You can use the waterproof ‘cast - rite ‘ coaching cards and copy the basics at home or take them with you to the waterside.
* You can practice your casting sitting or kneeling and get ready for the next boat trip or stalking those shy trout and grayling
* You could book a lesson with a professional fly casting instructor then go home and practice everything that you have just learnt.
* You can log on to the internet and join in and learn from the experts that have dedicated fly casting sites and programmes.
* You can join in with world champion fly casters that you may have on DVD and video or watch the celebrity fishermen on TV.
* You can discover for yourself that good fly casting is all about skill, timing and technique and not about strength, speed and force.
* You can learn the basics of every most used fly cast, single and double handed and practice them over and over again either at home, at the office or down by the waterside. Practice by yourself or share your ‘ cast - rite ‘with friends, family, in a group or with a class.
* You can become a better fly caster and that gives you more time at the waterside to concentrate on the fish and the fishing .
Better Fly Casters Catch More Fish !
CAUTION Always use the rubber protection cap and screw the sections securely together. Do not leave an assembled rod leaning in a corners as the slight bend in the flexible section will become permanent. Considerable energy is developed in casting practice so sit well back from the screen and clear the space round you before you start. While no one is too young to start to learn how to fly cast and your ‘ cast - rite ‘ is great to share with all the family but it is not a toy so be especially careful with young children around.
